If you’re like me, (David) you’re always looking for better ways to actually follow-through with the purposes and plans God has for your life. I need all the help I can get in this area, so I want to pass on to you two great resources I use every day that make a huge impact in the way I plan and purpose both my public and private dreams, goals and activities.
If you’ve followed us very long you know we rarely talk about the products we use. But these two have been so personally beneficial to me that I didn’t want you to miss out.
- The Younique Personal Vision Journey
For the last several years, I’ve been privileged to train hundreds of leaders in a gospel-centered life design process called Younique. It helps you gain crystal clarity around the specific call that God has designed for you.
I’ve lost count of the people I’ve taken through the Younique process, people in every kind of vocation, that are finding fresh fulfillment and sharper direction in their personal and professional lives.
But, now, some of the great secrets of Younique are available to you in a book.
Last week, our good friend, author Will Mancini along with Dave Rhodes & Cory Hartman released the book Younique: Designing the Life that God Dreamed for You.
Here’s what Will says about Younique:
For well over a decade I have been dreaming about a toolbox and training experience that would deliver something very special to any follower of Jesus. What is that something special? It’s the ability to really grasp the trajectory of one’s Ephesians 2:10 “good works”—what believers for centuries have called vocation or specific calling.
That dream has now come true. And the most important result of this dream-in-the-making is a new book cooked up just for you. But before I tell you about the Younique book, consider the story behind the recipe.
Today over 2,500 people have named their special assignment from God with unprecedented clarity and have celebrated break-thru. In small cohorts huddled in homes and church classrooms across North America, about 250 pastors have pioneered the cause of gospel-centered life design with us. We have taken these passionate leaders through several toolbox versions during these “beta years” since 2014.
Now we are ready to roll out The Younique Life Plan Journey to the broader church landscape. What happened under the radar in approximately 250 churches over five years is about to explode into the next 2,500 churches in 2020.
How does the Younique book fit in? The final step of my toolbox buildout is always the trade book. It’s the icing on the clarity cake. My license to publish is the demonstrated break-thru at every age and life stage from megachurch pastors to plumbers, from hopeful high school students to the fired-up retired.
Inside you will find a treasure chest of tools and 27 snackable chapters. What’s the end game? It’s helping you master seven essential life design skills. Learn these and you just might find a kind of life that you didn’t know was possible.
How well can you name your special assignment from God?
How free do you feel in your weekly “9-to-5”?
When was the last time you set up and bowled over a simple, single goal over 90 days?
Life is too short to live with only a general sense of who you are and where you are going.
Will is pretty passionate about the results in this “Younique” life design process. I am too! We both hope you’ll check out the course and the book, today, to see how one or both might figure into the fleshing out of God’s calling on your life.
I’ve been to a ton of workshops and filled out lots of assessments over the years, but I can’t recommend enough the entire, comprehensive Younique process. Another great tool I came across a while ago -and I love it- is…
- THE FULL FOCUS PLANNER
Once I got really clear about my unique God-given, life call I found it super helpful to have a simple way of designing my weekly and daily life around that, while also calibrating rejuvenating rest.
I’ve used lots of different planners over the years, some digital, some manual. Then I read the newest research on how using an analog planning process (having to write in a planner) was far more effective and insightful, than a digital version.
I still keep my calendar and some planning digital, but I’ve now transitioned to using a physical, customized, quarterly planner for goals called the- Full Focus Planner. I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but, man, I really do.
I gave several of these planners as Christmas gifts and the feedback I’m already getting is people love it.
I’m responsible for a lot of people and teams in three different organizations. And I’ve seen a measurable increase in the effectiveness and efficiency of all I do since I started using this planner.
The Michael Hyatt organization puts it out and after using this planner for about a year now, I wouldn’t go back.
*We only share with you products and resources we actually use and find helpful. If you use the links we provide here, our ministry will get a small benefit from your purchase.
